8 LED Chase Controller (Project)

Description:
A bare-bones controller used to drive 8 single color LEDs. Based on an 12F675 and a high-power shift register, and single push button for control. Altering the source code allows custom patterns to be added. Good for Case Lights, Infinity Mirrors, ambient lights.

  •  PCB 8 Position Screw-Down Terminal, with 0.1" (DIP) spacing.
  •  TPIC6C596, shift register 
  • 16 pin socket 
  •  10k 1/4w resistor (Brown, Black, Orange),R1 
  •  0.1uf Capacitor, C1 
  •  8 resistors, value depends on LED Color Approx: 20 - 40 ohm, R2 - R9 
  • 32 LEDs, choice of colors 
  •  Board mount momentary push-button ( kit comes with an extra panel-mount button ) 
  •  scrap of perfboard 
  •  Dual-Strand wire, 22 ga 
  •  ~2" of solid strand for jumping
